Autism Intervention
For this blog, I would like to discuss Pivotal Response Therapy, an approach that combines applied behavior analysis, therapy in the home or school, and a developmental approach. By attempting to modify the child's attitude, capacity for independence, identification with and understanding of others, and scope of self-direction this therapy is able to focus on changing many behaviors by modifying one or two important skill sets. Proponents of Pivotal Response Therapy believe in early intervention for children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities. If you would like to know more about Pivotal Response Therapy, please write in.
